Even though NPR leans too far left for me, I could listen more if not for a couple things. I used to listen often on the way home from work but, once you heard the first afternoon shows major stories you could shut the station off as four or five more programs would have the exact topics covered the same way. I do like some of the music they play though.

I normally read from about 8-10 different news sources most days, from far-left to far-right. I do this so I can stay well informed, because *nobody* tells the whole truth. I've found that NPR is not all that far left...I wouldn't trust it (or any other single source) for my entire news source, but it is relatively fair when compared to others. The fairest, best-balanced is Al Jazeera English version, although I wouldn't trust just it, either.

I wish that didn't happen as often. I agree the music is good too. I've purchased many a CD from shows like Studio 360 reviews. For example Rock Swings (Paul Anka), and the Phenomenal Ruthie Foster.
