I have sold the Battery Tender and Battery Minder for years.

We have had much better luck with the Battery Minder, mainly because of the desulphation aspect.

I personally use Solargizers on my vehicles. The unit is fed by a solar panel. I am going on 315,000 miles on my original batteries in my Dodge diesel, and this is pretty much due to the use of the desulphation attained by the Solargizer.

Here is a good dialogue comparing Tender to others units.

No, its not. It is AGM which means Absorbed Glass Mat. It means there is no liquid acid in the battery to leak. The acid is absorbed in the glass mat. They can be used in most any appliocation but are somewhat more costly.

i want to order a "battery tender" from a catalog. the description of the battery tender says it is for, "all sealed AGM, lead calcium and flooded batteries". so, will this battery tender be ok to use for my snowmobile and tractor batteries? the tractor batery is 6V and has removable caps to add liquid. the battery tender can do either 6 or 12 volt bateries.

I would think that the tractor battery would fall under the "Flooded" catagory. Shouldn't be an issue.....

No idea on the snowmobile.....
