| Bucket trap for meeses.take 5-6 gal bucket, paper towel roll core or similar and stiff wire, dowel or rod.Tube(bait) can be smeared with p-nut butter or glue and rolled in grain(oats, corn, cereal)to coat it.It is then suspended on the rod/wire across the bucket as shown, and a ramp(abot 45 deg) made of lath or small branch.Put about 4-5 inches of water in the bucket. For outbuildings/winter,RV antifreeze or diesel can be used. Mouse comes looking for food, smells food, climbs ramp, and when he trys to jump/walk on roll,it dumps his fuzzy lil butt into the water.Unable to climb out he soon drowns.I have used these for yrs,and have found as many as 26 meese remains in one in a shed in the spring. |
