How to fix a garden hose
You may have many hoses lying around that have holes in them. It is a simple matter to keep these functioning by waiting for a hot day to soften the hose, cut out the section where the hole is, force the two ends over a small piece of pipe (even plastic pipe will work) and putting on a couple of hose clamps. This is also a simple way of making a long hose out of two old short ones.
