| You can use an old (or new) kiddie swimming pool for a chick brooder. The rounded corners keep the chicks from piling up in the corners and suffocating each other. Just line it good with newspaper, as the pool plastic can be kind of slippery. A small pool can house about 25 chicks just fine.
