How to Measure the Height of a Tree or Tall Building
On a sunny day, set up a stick and measure it's shadow. Then measure the shadow of a tree or building. The length of the tree shadow, times the height of the stick, divided by the length of the shadow of the stick equals the height of the tree or building.
