How to use a small drill bit to drill a large hole
If you need to drill a larger hole than your largest diameter drillbit, and you have old bits that are broken or damaged, sharpen the tip so that the point is offset. The size of the hole will be twice the distance between the point and the side of the bit furthest away.

To grind it, be sure to rotate the bit at a constant speed as it contacts your grinder and cool it by dipping it in water constantly.
