Kountry Life Memories

More modern memories
I have been born and raisrd a Missourian.Farming is about all i have ever known. From the time I was 2 I was with my Dad riding in the cab of a combine.By the time I was 8 yrs old I was riding day and night on the fender of a 4010 John Deere plowing, disking,or planting. It was around this time I got to disk by myself, then I disked a lot. When I was 10 yrs old we also bought an 1850 Oliver tractor. One day I got home from school and my Dad had a plow on both tractors. As I walked up to the 4010 he asked me'Think you can handle it by yourself'I thought about it (just a second)and said YES!We pulled to the field,Dad on the Oliver and a 5 bottom Case plow, dropped the plow and proceeded.I lined up with his furrow and pinned her ears back on that 4010,pulled both levers down and stood that 4010 right up in the air.I did fine after thaT,but it was a lesson Ive never forgotten
