Kountry Life Memories

Way back when
Grandaddy would say 'a man's hard work pays little but a love for his children and Grandchildren is worth the effort'. Grandad had a broken down old farm in Clifton Colorado and back in the 1950's that was a heavenly place to visit. The corn grew high, mellons were sweet and the air pure and clean. Friying chicken and fresh baked bread that drifted in the afternoon air would turn a young fellers mouth to watering. By-Golly I think at times I can still hear my Grandmother's echoing voice calling us all in for supper. Chores done, suppers over, evening coming on and all sitting on the back porch hearing the evening wind blowing through the big willow tree. Grand folks bending your ears with stories of their lifes past. Poor and yet still rich in family love and pride they worked to harvest a crop of youngsters raised to respect a life of happy memories. Grandad and Grandma have past from the labors of this earth, but the enriched cultivated memories of their life's live on in an old fellers heart.
