Cobbler
Ingredients:
1 qt. fruit[berries of any kind or mixed if you like
1/2 cupsugar
2 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cup sifted allpurpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 teaspoon bakig powder
1/4 cup shortening[crisco is my fav]
about 1/2 cup milk

Directions:
mixberries,sugar and 2 tbls.flour add lemon juice and put in bottom of baking dish[i use a 9' sqare but anything about that sixe will do]Mix flour,salt and soda then add shortening . Mix with 2 forks or pastry blender slowly add milk tilldough comes together.Roll dough out to about 1/4 in thick place on top of fruit. Cut 4-5 slits for steam.[KEEP THE CUTS NEAR THE MIDDLE]Bake at 450 for 20 minutes then turn oven down to 300 bake till nice and bubbly.
