Clover Honeys Foolproof Pie Crust
1 cup flour
1/2 cup shortening
2 to 4 tablespoons milk
Powdered (confectioner's) sugar

Place flour in medium bowl and 'cut in' shortening with a fork until mixture looks crumbly. Add milk gradually, starting with 2 tablespoons, stirring until all flour is incorporated and dough is workable. Don't add so much milk that it gets sticky.

Place dough ball in freezer for a minute while you dust a large square of wax paper with powdered sugar. Sprinkle the counter with a little water, then place sugared wax paper on top of water. (Keeps the paper from sliding around while you roll). Roll out dough on the sugared wax paper.

Lift wax paper and invert it over your pie pan. Remove paper. Press crust against pan, prick with fork and bake 15-20 minutes at 375 degrees or until lightly browned. Cool before filling with a cream/custard filling. Or fill unbaked crust with fruit (don't prick) and then bake.
Makes 1 9-inch SINGLE crust.
