Red Velvet Cake
Ingredients:
1 cup butter
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons cocoa
small bottle of red food coloring
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour (plain)
dash of salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon distilled vinegar
Frosting;
1 stick butter
1 (8 ounce) cream cheese
1 pound box powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
1 cup chpped pecans

Directions:
Mix butter and sugar, add eggs, cocoa, food coloring, and mix well. Add vanilla flavoring to buttermilk.Sift salt and flour together. Add buttermilk mixture to the butter and sugar...and alternate with flour. After mixing well, add the soda and vinegar and mix well again. Pur into 3 greased and floured 9 ' round cake pans and bake @ 325' for approximately 30 minutes, or until brown.
Mix all frosting ingred. together and frost colled cake.
