I copied this text from another board:
"AOL has dropped the price of the unlimited AOL service in order to compete with other service providers. It is now $14.95 a month for unlimited...I believe it used to be $23.95. They put the lower price into effect this past weekend, but you have to call and request the new unlimited plan. One catch is that you have to agree to keep the service for 12 months. They will begin advertising the new plan within the next couple of weeks, but you can call now and start saving some money sooner. 14.95 a month if you commit to 12 months of service
1-888-265-8008 (AOL customer service)
Also if your an AOL user you can cut your bill down even further by going to "Keyword" and type in "Opinion Place". They will take up to $4.50 off your bill for taking a survey. You can do this every month. So if you get the lower rate of $14.95 plus a survey credit for $4.50, you do the math."
I called and was told the $14.95 was only to select members, but they did give me $17.95 if I committed to 6 months. So that and the survey is something saved, anyway. Be warned -- AOL has apparently outsourced customer service -- the gal barely spoke English and the connection was dreadful.
