Well to me a 4 cycle still burns fossil fuels just like a 2 stroke! Where does it's spent hydrocarbons go? Last I heard TCW-3 and "Most" of the other brand of 2 cycle oils were at 85% biodegradable and a 2 cycle can be repaired by most novice enthusiasts', unlike a many moving part4 stroke bomb, 4 strokes are okay don't get me wrong (when their new) but they ware out too and get pretty spendy to repair! If they want to hollar about pollution tell one of them govt. suits to stand under an underpass in Twin Cities, MN. for 15 mins. and then they'll see who the "REAL" polluters are! "4 STROKE DIESEL SEMI TRACTORS AND CARS/SUV'S! WHICH BY THE WAY, THE GOVT. OF B.C. CANADA VANCOUVER? DID A STUDY ON A 4 CYCLE 3.5 H.P. BRIGGS LAWN MOWER RUN AT W.O.T. @ 3200 RPM PUT MORE HYDROCARBONS INTO THE AIR THAN A FULL SIZE CHEVY SUBURBAN DID ON A 1000 MILE TRIP AT 60 MPH CRUISE SPEED @ 1850 RPM.
PS. WHY DON'T THEY PUT AN EXAUST STACK ON MARINE ENGINES, 2 AND 4 CYCLE, WHAT'S WITH THE WATER????
