I am a dairy farmer in Wisconsin. When you buy a gallon of milk at the store and it states whole milk with Vit D, it has 3.2 % fat through the whole country, which thay state as standaRDIZED, SO IT IS THE SAME ALL OVER. SAME WITH THE 2%, 1% OR SKIM WHICH HAS 0% FAT OR MORE LIKE COLORED WHITE WATER. [dang caps] When the milk leaves the farm the fat percent cam be any where from 3 -6% depending what color the cows are. Here in Wi it is not legal to sell milk from the farm at less than 3%. Go figure. The cream that is removed from the milk to bring the fat content to 3.2 is used for butter, etc. Hope I explained it half way. Alvin
