I didn't get a chance to reply below, so I will here. I am so sorry for you. It really chaps my @ss to hear when this happens to anybody. I guess everybody has been stolen from over the years, but to burn it down, that was just lowdown. We have had a car stolen, which was recovered, but it still sucked. We have had all out tools stolen right out from under our carport, WHILE we were home! Over a thousand dollars worth, Snap-On tools and such. Things would disappear all the time from under the carport. The worst was when Ian was off to his soccer game one morning, had just gotten out of the neighborhood onto the main road, and two punks (blacks, they are very bad here, and wild as a pack of wolves) about 14 or 15 years old were standing on the sidewalk, and as Ian rode by them, he saw one of them raise their arm, and before he could do anything, the boy shot at the car. It shot out his window, but the bullet did not hit him. We never could find the bullet. The kids took off through a neighborhood that leads up to the back of a bunch of apartments, and they never caught them. I swore that day that we would get out of here and out to the country as fast as we financially could, and when we did, we would all know how to use a shotgun. I dare anybody to come onto my property now. I have signs posted, no trespassing, beware of dog, to let people know they are not welcome unless invited. The kids in this area haven't been taught any boundaries, they just wander up into your yard if they see something interesting that they want to see, and in my case, it's animals. A friend of Shelbys told me that amutual friend of thiers had rabbits, and the kids from across the street from me would just go up there anytime and go into their back yard, even if they werent home and help themselves to messing with the animals. I don't know what is wrong with kids these days. They have no guidance, no conscience, no upbringing. I don't know if it will be any better to be out and away, but I sure hope it is. Right now as we speak, I have to go out tomorrow and get a lock and chain for the rabbit's hutch, just to be sure nobody steals him, it's a sad age we are in sometimes, you can't have anything I tell ya. Somewhere somebody else wants it, and they will take it. May justice be served, may those kids get back triple the pain they caused you, and it may not happen right away, but what goes around comes around.
