A friend, who I hadn't seen for a number of years, looked me up awhile back. I was completely amazed at this former city bred and raised yuppie gal. She now has a buffaloe/bison operation on 160 acres just a little south of Kansas City. Her and her husband operate it pretty much by themselves. They found a U.S.D.A. approved slaughter house and sell steaks to the more trendy retaurant's around the area. This isn't their sole source of income but is doing pretty well. The meat I've seen for sale, either at restaurants or retail outlet's, is a little pricey for me thouth.
