Easy there, Texas. You must be two-stepping in the wrong circles to have encountered that many women of the wrong persuasion (rude persuasion, that is).

I'm 32 (so nobody has to guess) and hold the door open, appreciate having the door held open, and regularly use such antiquated terms as Please, Thank You, Ma'am, and Sir. I even Ma'am my 5 year-old daughter who has in turn begun to "Thank you ma'am" her 1.5 year old sister.

I apologize that you have had the misfortune to deal with so may rude and inconsiderate women. Just do your part to ramain so nice as to ROCK THEIR WORLD! and to keep manners as the cornerstone to society. Hopefully one day you will politely hold open the door to a polite lady who will appreciate being called ma'am - and fall madly in love with you!

Thank you, Sir, for keeping the "polite" in Polite Society.

EngineerJoyce: the woman in a man's world who still appreciates when they remember she's a lady!
