Can anyone help me find a solution to a problem with my '97 Ford F-250 with a 7.3 diesel? Ocassionally, especially when its warm and the humidity is high, the engine likes to shut down when you apply the brake. It's just like you turned off the switch. Something is apparently canceling the fuel pump. No problem to restart it. It can happen slowing down in traffic when you brake or just applying the brake to put it in gear. Not all of the time but frequent enough. Yesterday, it happened six times when I was moving trailers from the fairground display. Its real fun when you are making a turn or curve and everything shuts down! GWH
