Where's your backup data Steve? On what, do you base your assumptions. Maybe people are learning that if they can make do, there's no need to trade up. My truck is 10 years old. But, it still runs good and I don't need to keep up with Mr. Jones. I buy the things I need but I was never a big time consumer.

Now the stock market has rallied and more people own their own homes according to some market reports. Cost have risen but we're still making do. So, what do you want the folks to do, buy more? It's their money, let them spend it as they choose....JMHO.......gfp
