Can you save old farm equipment batteries? Any cure?

Been readin 'bout these 'sure cure' kits for batteries. We always got 2-3 old bats. layin around. Mostly it is the crawler/loader we got trouble keepin alive ones in. Don't use it enough.
Seen advertisements 'bout pourin this stuff into them to recycle the plates somehow. Guess they can do some good, but don't know myself. Wanted to ask you folks if it works. Ever use the stuff?

Also been told a bat. loses its charge by 1-3% a day after 30 days a being idle, but then me too.
