Yeah that was the initial thought. Then I
thought about the bottom condensers and
thought, what if the fridge was in a box with a
flexible hose, like a dryer hose, connecting it
outside. Use a little fan with a small solar
panel powering it as a powered vent if you
need.
I don't know if its practical, but it does seem
like it'd work.

Just after I graduated from College I moved
back on campus because the rent was
cheaper. Well that was one of the hottest
summers in a long time and our rooms had
no a/c. I did have a microfridge though. I went
to the hardware store and bought a sheet of
foam insulation. Then I cut it the same size as
the door. Then cut a microfridge sized hole in
that. Then put the fridge and insulation in the
doorway with the coils in the hall. Kept my
room nice and cool...
Probably killed the fridge, but they could have
let us live in the a/c housing....
