i see the difference: i used 5 feet for the height + 3.05 for diameter. this time i got 273 gallons altogeter.
that makes sense - i made a 3ft diameter, 4 ft tall cylinder for hot water storage, and it held 200 gallons (plus 11.5 for expansion), just a little smaller than yours. btw, it made a dandy trash burner too, now that it's all leaky. holds several trash bags. :)
