Had to repair a feeder first thing this morning. Just did getting the inevitable repairs out of the way, only having to waste time moving some around and fixing it later.
Come in for lunch and she's got two left overís mixed together. AH HA! Been looking for the wrong sort of leftoverís pot all these years. NOW, I know itís a two compartment job. How else can she combine themís left overís, my not seeing her do it. Damed if I ainít fixing to become a long nosed hound in search of the elusive pot, once I get up the strength to rise up off this rug in front of the stove. Got to add, Nice and warm down here, and I do get a pat on the head occasionally, in FriedaĎs passing.
Should get more than that. Listening to her harp on my getting her out for some shopping, finally made it this afternoon. I think my wallet to a bigger hit than them ageing truck springs.
Got to get out and cover the wood we split yesterday. Got so called three days rain coming. Looking at three satellite/Doppler images, the weatherís looking mighty long and wet coming our way. That wood is still damp enough from all the snow what had been sitting on it all last week.
Almost forgot? Last night I thought I had passed Wayne on the road. Seems he got out of the Hospital yesterday afternoon and had to bogy.
This evening about the time I finished carrying in Friedaís goods he was pulling into his yard. So, I quickly followed him home. Looked at him for a moment then gave him a friendly lacing down. Told him be belonged in a chair (recliner) or bed. Darn foolís worrying about the last 800 acres of crops still out there. Shucks, his brothers can handle it.
Also suggested when heís feeling stir crazy, give me a call and Iíll come over and bull sh!t with him. Knowing it was a long ways, I thought could still manage that walk across the road. ďWalk Hell!Ē Iíll come get ya with the golf cart, he said.
Iím telling ya, ďItís hard putting a good man down!Ē And, determined as he is, I thinking sure enough heís going to make it.
