5 gallon bucket mouse trap?

I once read how to make a mouse trap from a 5 gallon bucket filled part way with water but I can't seem to find anything on it now. The idea was the mice fell in somehow and can't climb out due to the slick sides and would then drown. It would catch many mice at one time. Has anyone ever used or seen such a thing. I don't remember what was at the top which allowed the mice to fall in. Possably a piece of carboard(or paper sack) with a trap door triggered by the mouses weight. Thanks.
