Grove r, I'm watching you, I'm convinced that there's a couple of you Canadagans that are plannin on attacking my palatial estate here at poverty patch. Sounds to me like yer honkin up some equipment and gonna snatch onto my palace's hitch and haul it north. (GRIN)
You just go ahead and lump me in with summa them deleted posters and I'll tell yer wife all them stories I've made up.
As for the war, I recall my grandfather talking about reconstruction, and what his father saw there. He seemed to feel that reconstruction was doing more to divide the country than the war did. Can't say for certain, cause I was too young to enlist.
Ennyhoo, I've traveled nearly all of these 48 states, and quite a bit of Canada. I've been treated good and bad in every area I've been to. I've been beaten up for $40.00 in Atlanta, and I was robbed at knife point in Cheektawaga NY, for $20.00 (Buffalo) Shades of difference? Nah, people are people no matter where ya go. One of the best treatments I ever got was from a foul mouthed mechanic in NYC, one of the worst was from a farmer in Florida?? Go figure. Every person gets one shot at my head, I know drunks I'd bend over backwards for, and preachers I wouldn't give the time of day.
OK, I'm done, here's the soap box for someone else to git up on.
Ron
