Fern it was my dear Mother-in-laws request that her ashes be thrown into the ocean at the Ocean City Pier. Well, we went up to the very end and the wind was right strong. So, each of us took a handful and with our backs to the wind, let her ashes blow into the waves.

Now, I don't know if anyone here has ever handled any such ashes but I would be willing to bet it didn't contain any of my dear sweet MIl. Nawsir, that stuff was gritty kitty litter, sure as shooting.

Once I felt that stuff, I knew something was amiss. But, I kept quiet about it. I didn't want to be the one to spoil that somber moment.
I just thought it was a shame to pay all that money for cremation and all you get for it is 22 cents worth of cat litter. .....gfp
