Hogman, Just want to say " THANKS " for your service and not to you only but to everyone who wore the uniform. D-DAy was about 25 years before I was born but I have read a lot of books and watch a lot of documentary's on D-day and I stand in awe at what was done! I was fortunate enough not to have had to serve ,but my Dad's brother served in the pacific in WWII and my Dad served In Korea during that conflict. I was always raised to Love the Lord , Honor the flag and Respect the Veterans. I'm truly sorry we as a nation haven't always treated our veterans with the respect they deserve.
I was really thrilled when last year my sons school had the kids to bring a veteran to school with them. They had a big ceremony to honor the Vets . They gave them a certificate to Honor them. Then they took them all in a room off to themselves and provided them with a huge feast, all they could eat. It was nice , but it was sad that it took some of these guys/gals 30-40-50 or 60 years to get the recognition they deserved.
Well , enough rambling. God Bless you all who wore the uniform for the RED,WHITE,&BLUE!!
