First of all, anyone that ever knew Sam Walton personally could tell you he was not a jerk. He was a very respectful and considerate man. You couldnt be in the same store as him with out him greeting you and showing real TRUE concern about you and your family.
The one problem i have found that people have with Sam Walton is that he had a dream and he stuck to it. Yeah the corporate big wigs may be taking it to the extremes now that he is gone. But his dream lives on. How many of you have a dream that starts out something small and ends up world wide with a 9 billion dollar profit yearly. I think that is something we should be proud of for him and his family, not something that you should down talk because you were not able to fulfill such dreams yourself.
Wal-Mart is certainly hard for anyone to compete with. But have you ever taken a look at the amount of tax revenue that one store is putting into your communities or the thousands and thousands of dollars that company has contributed to your charities.
Before you criticize maybe you should see how it really is on both sides of the fence.
