I have lived around Spokane all my life, even tried living in the city for a couple of years--not my cup of tea. I moved back to the country and never want to live in town again. I love it here and will never leave unless I have to. But I am retired and relatively secure.

I wish I could say all is rosy here. There are a number of technical businesses around, but the current dip in the economy has been hard on them. Unemployment is way up and stock prices are way down especially in the high tech area. I hope we have hit the bottom and things will be getting better. Some of the stocks my family and I have accumulated over a lifetime are worth about half or less what they were a couple of years ago.

My neice's husband has worked in the couputer industry in Boise and made some pretty big money over the last few years. But last month they had to relocate to New Mexico for a new job, as he was "downsized".

I really like Sandpoint and Coeur d'Alene. Good luck getting back to this area.
