This probably isn't the best forum for this subject; maybe someone can steer me on to a more suitable one. Our oil burner man dropped in for his annual check up and told us that we've got a cracked heat exchanger in our hot air furnace and would have to get a new furnace. Not only that but we'd have to get our chimney lined because in this state they can't hook a new furnace up to an unlined chimney. The furnace is a Williams (or Williamson?) Tempomatic Serial #B8513235. This company went out of business and is now apparently merged into the Thermoflo Co. According to our man they cannot supply the heat exchanger we need. Anyone out there that knows anything about this subject? Thx
