Most blenders weren't designed to run that long at once, and they turn so fast they whip everything. I'd just let the kids shake a jarful of cream for 15 minutes and we'd all eat good. :)

BTW, have you ever seen those skimmer jars with the little metal cream dipper built in at the top? Cheapest separator around...
