Mudcat- Sweat not the SS rejection, and mebbie count some blessings. I got my "4-F" rating after I got home and was working my way along with potentials of a military career, as a way of making the best of what I had in front of me. Gout and the bad attitude that shows here took me out after 14 years of trying to be of service.

Looking back, I was very fortunate to have been dumped into America's finest, the 12th Cavalry, in some very interesting places, the Central Highlands, and several rescue missions, like MCAS Khe Sanh in '68.

Like the saying goes, Everybody gave some, some gave all. Everybody that served in some way please stand proud and thanks for serving!

The annual "Rolling Thunder" biker ride will soon be heading to "The Wall" in DC. I ask all to give them grey haired veterans a thumbs up when they ride by. Vietnam service was difficult, but riding a motocycle on US highways is some sort of ultimate bravado statement. God bless you PJ!
