Only other way they could suggest was to stop them seeing the sun come up, cover up coop till suitable time so they can't see sun come up.. I hope this works for me, as kids do not want to give up thier rooster again... doesn't matter as much if crow in day, I think it just pisses neighbours off if crow too early in morning....
