'Nother peanut harvest question

OK, my peanut plants haven't started yellowing yet but they've been in the ground about 4 1/2 months. There are peanuts formed at the base of the plants, but if I open one up the nut is white with no brown paper on it.

We've had some significant rains the past month and the ground is soggy. Since this is the first time I've ever gotten peanuts to grow at all, I really don't want to lose them--so how do I know when to harvest?

Am I better harvesting early (so they don't rot or start to sprout) and drying them in the hay mow? Or should I wait til the frost kills the plants off (won't be too much longer, we've had 2 mild frosts already)?

thanks!
Tom
