Just moved from a 1400sq ft ranch in coastal Delaware. I had replaced 4 of my old baseboard units with hydro-sils and set them up on setbsck thermostats. They worked great, very even heat. Low bills. My new well built ,well insulated 1600sq ft modular has propane hot air. I moved in 11/24/06. In six weeks(half of them in the 60's) I have $400 in propane bill's, have a sore throat and runny nose all the time. I am sitting here planning the installation of 11 Hydro-sil units with set backs so I have heat where I need it and when I need it. And yes I am a retired HVAC tech with 35 years experience. I never thought I'd be talking this way about baseboard heat. There is no reason to heat 1600sq ft when your tucked in like toast.
