The ol' toot is right, don't worry about it. That wool coat sheds water better than most raincoats. That's the reason fishermen wear wool sweaters. Even if they get wet, they keep ya warm.

The chickens are the same way. They oil their feathers (it looks like they are grooming themselves) and stay right out in it. If they get cold, they'll go inside and huddle up.

Animals have been keeping themselves warm since before Man discovered fire, they'll manage. Your job is to make sure they have someplace to go when they decide to, and you've more than covered that.
