I don't know about sheep, goats don't like rain though and will go in. My experience with chickens is that they are creatures of habit and don't like to be moved. I'd tempt them into the barn before dark with food, close them in every night (if I didn't close up my chickens here, I wouldn't have any by morning--preditors). I have had to go get some out of the trees after dark and put them where I want them to nest. They eventually get the idea. I might leave them closed up inside the barn for a few days, if it wasn't too much trouble, just to get them used to the "correct" barn. Good luck.
