Having just disposed of a 50 year old Monarch oven, I am surprised an individual can even find parts for these once excellent appliances. As for the...individual...who foolishly attempted to fix his Monarch, my comment is: What a fool.
The company that manufactured Monarch ovens went out of business in 1985. My guess is spare parts for a 50+ year old machine are next to impossible to find given the above reasons. Common sense dictates using alternate parts would lead one to be extra careful when installing. That's why I chose to replace mine with a brand new stove and avoid the hassle.
My closing remark is beware dumb consumers trying to save a buck. Thank You.
I refrain from using my real name as this is an informed personal opinion and not a company response. Although, I wager some at that company would agree with my opinion.
