Around here there are LOT's of home made, and even some mfg. trailors useing house trailor axles. I have one my self, but (18,000 GVW rated, all with brakes) all House trailors axles aren't created equil. Some are rated much better than others. There's nothing wrong with these axles, but there IS with the tires!! They ARE a "one way" tire!! I bought low boy tires from my tire shop, for my trailor, and the new tires are of high quality tire. BTW, the places here that deliver these double wides, and modular homes, are still buying the axles back from the buyers to use over and over again!!! If they were junk, they wouldn't do this! Robert
