I have been fishing for trout and catfish for about 3 years. I have had no trouble at all catching trout but the cat fish are a hole other story. I would fish all day and not catch anything so I started thinking about it and I came up with a plan. I got a 2 litter soda pop bottle with a lid and tied 15 feet of 10 pound line on the neck of the bottle. At the end of the line I tied a trouble hook and put a pice of liver on the hook. That night I went to the lake and through the bottel in the lake. The next day my friend and I rented a row boat from the lake and went out to find my bottle. My friend said I was wasting my time. We looked for at lest 30 minuts and still no bottle. Then we spoted it in the reeds on on the other side of the lake. I could not beleave how far the bottle had moved over night. When we were pulling the bottle up I could tell that there was something on the line and sure enough there was. It was a 5 and 1/2 pound catfish.

This mite work for you.

P.S. You could do the same thing for bluegill. Just use a bobber in place of the bottle and some 4 pound line with a very small trouble hook. Try it for a week and see what you get.
Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
