I found it interesting to see the wringer washers powered by gas engines. They would take off the electric motor and hook up the gas. Maybe it has to do with being "off grid" so gas is fine, but electricity is bad. Not a bad idea if you ask me.

However I don't know why it's ok to use a gas engine to power many things, but not a moving vehicle.
