Sorry to take so long responding, stinking job gets in my way too often. You asked, ""I never again want one for a neighbor, nor will I do business with one." Why is that, Ron ? Just curious." One Amish man saw 3 horse drawn mowers sitting in a fence row and asked about buying them. I pulled them out, freed them up and he came to look at them. They were sold as is, FOB. "Can you deliver them?" "Nope." "Seems like the price should include delivery." "It don't, it's FOB." "OK, I'll take 'em." Two weeks later, he's back. "The knives are all shot." "No kidding, they've set in the field for 3 years." "Seems like the knives should be good." "Not likely, they set out in the field for 3 years." "How about some money back?" "Nope." He left, now the kicker is, he bought them for parts, and he paid a whopping $25.00 Same thing when I sold a sausage grinder/stuffer we had. Great shape, worked well. After he bought it, he came back with a complaint. His generator wasn't big enough to run it. He wanted me to buy it back, and since he cleaned and shined it, he wanted $100.00 more than he paid. Good thing they're pacifists, he coulda cleaned my clock. We sold some property to one family, at the closing he decided since he didn't believe in lawyers, he wouldn't pay his share of the closing fees. We called off the transaction and he suddenly changed his religion. Quite often they'd see me with a mower on, and wonder if I might just lop off that 3 acre piece he had next to mine. Sprayer? Maybe spray that bank that's got so much poison ivy on it? Lived next to 3 different families at different times, in our travels. The neighborly act of stopping on my way to the store was an invitation to lose a day. I'd tell them I was running down to the grocery store, asked if they needed anything while I was going? He'd want a ride, and I'd wait for him. After the store, could we stop at the drug store? Sure. Now since we're so close to the feed mill,,,, would you mind? SUre. Could we swing by the hardware store? SURe! Could we drop by the lumber yard for a couple 2X4's? NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I'm driving a damn Chevette and you're going home!!! Rude Ron
