starting off at about 48, but headin' up to around 80 today. gotta get an early start tillin' the lower garden so we can finally get it planted. then i'll be able to drop the tiller off the tractor, get the bush-hog on it and start mowin' some of this jungle down around here. ..won't be long til we're hayin' now. i was watching a couple deer crossin' one field this morning and all i could see was their heads and backs. the hay has been growing like mad this spring, looks like we'll get a very good first cut. gonna need a stretch of hot dry weather tho, gonna take some time to dry it this year as thick as it looks, and strtches of hot dry weather is something we're not getting any of so far. ..should be some new calves coming soon. i've been watching them close lately, but haven't seen any cows wandering away from the bunch like they do when they go find a place to hide and drop their calves. ..been so busy here lately i haven't had a chance to post any wild flower pics, but it sure is getting colorful around here. all this rain and fair temps has got everything lush and green and blooming heavy. we haven't seen it like this for years. everyday rose and i sit and wonder at how pretty everything is. just plain nice to be alive. y'all have a good day now, y'hear? ma10
