they called me several times a few years ago and i just told them i was not home. they said ok and that they would call back later and i told them i would not be home later either. they finally stopped calling. they did send a 20 page form to fill out and mail back and a threating note that i could be fined or prosecuted for not complying. i think they are just trying to scare folks into giving information that the USDA would not otherwise be able to get.
