Hubby left around 5am this morning, heading for Beulah ND. He'll be working on a "turnaround" for the next seven days or so, then he'll be back home until the next project.

He has to report for orientation at 2pm today, and then he'll start his first shift at 7pm Monday nights. This project will run round the clock - two 12 hour shifts until the work is done.

Son got his stuff yesterday, so he'll spend the day unpacking. He's planning on being back home for a short visit at the end of the week. He talked his Grandfather (Hubby's dad) into driving from the Twin Cities out here with him. Now they are both a bit upset that hubby won't be here, but that is the way things go in the summer.

So now I've got to get back into the routine of taking care of the animals every day. Maybe I'll lose a bit of weight too!

It got cold last night, but the sun is shining today. I think I'll cut up potatoes so they will be ready to plant later this week. I'll get some final cleaning done too. Have to find my living room floor again.

You all have a happy Mother's Day. I plan on fixing my favorite foods and doing what ever I please (easy since I'm the only one here LOL!)

BTW - little kitty is doing ok. A bit snuffly, but does not seem to be injured. Is not hissing or trying to claw, but is afraid to be touched or handled.

Cathy
