People generally get what they deserve. We watch TV to learn what is the latest and the best. The guy who explains all this technology is often one who never got his little pinkies dirty because he has set at a desk much like a hen sits on eggs and does nothing else.I was reading the business news to learn that GM big shots are worried because they can't sell their garbage high tech vehicles. But no matter. The CEO will get a big bonus when the corporation goes belly up.Why? Because he is smart. He has a paper to prove he has a big brain. He probably has never put a set spark plugs in one of the new high tech vehicles. He would get dirty and that would be a disaster. He would not know to turn the wrech counterclockwise to remove the plug if he could spot it on the engine. That is why fools pay 800 bucks to get a gas pump put on a new Chevy. They believe the adds on TV. We improve our machinery every year. OK. Here is the old way.Ofcourse GM hired a German to design this engine but they had little problem getting the US customer to buy the vehicles with that engine installed. Why? Because it was reliable and simple. The parts were available and cheap. They still are. The engine was easy to work on.Unlike the 80 dollar pump jobs. You do it yourself. You need not take the tank down off the vehicle or raise the body up to get to the pump. You reach over the hood and undo the two lines then take out two 3/8 bolts after you put a longer 3/8 bolt in the hole where the arrow is to hold the pushrod up. 20 bucks! Or you could save money by rebuilding the pump with a kit. The job is worth 20 bucks if you hire things done like most Americans of this generation do. So you are out 40 bucks. But you say Al Gore would not like that. It will cause global warming! Al Gore is not paying the 800 bucks when your fuel pump goes out is he?
