Still have beans to plant. Need to get the baskets around the tomatoes. But before I can do that I need to get in the woods and gather a load of pine straw. I put newspapers around the tomatoes, peppers, and squash and cover the papers with a bed of pine straw. It keeps moisture in and the weeds out. Newspapers breaks down by end of the season and I just turn it and the straw into the dirt. Been doing it for almost 30 years. Sure does make good compost. Dan
