Years ago, when I worked in Detroit for Chevrolet, I knew a guy named Ed Cole. He was a great mechanic (would did get has hands dirty a lot)and engineer. He designed the small block chevy engine and I don't think he was from Germany. He later headed up chevy engineering and moved up to run all of Chevrolet. Later he was the head of General Motors!
So much for your theory. BTW, how do you put the bolt in to hold up the pushrod "before" you remove the fuel pump? And yes, I know your name isn't Clod, and you post from more than one IP address so quit the name calling.
