Deb, We've been getting our fair share of rain this spring. Which, tends to put some plant growth in stall mode.

My garden is not nearly as big as in past years. I decided to scale back and bring suffering and heart ache on all of my lazy neices and nephews and various other in and out laws too numerious to mention. Actually, I am getting lazy in my old age.

Those high wheel push plows are good if your garden soil is loose. But, if you have hard packed clay, such as what we have here, they don't do much toward scratching the ground.

You mentioned buying a midas tillers. I used one once but I didn't care for it. The vibaration from it caused my hands and arms to tingle and tire out way too easily. It probably wouldn't bother a younger person but it gave my old hands and forearms a royal fit. Perhaps you could ask around and see if someone would let you play around with one before you make the purchase.
